I first found Paragon while searching for people with specific niche M&A experience and expertise.   Even if their web site appeared less flashy than others, I had the impression, even on the phone, I was dealing with highly-skilled senior people, not the classic aggressive belt and suspenders kid searching for money.  They initially made a conservative evaluation of our business and we decided that it was too low to go ahead at that time.  Eight months later, given strong growth of the Company, we gave Paragon an exclusive mandate based on a new expected enterprise value.  Their competence was knowing not only the potential buyers but also which were in “acquisition mode”.   We received four solid offers and signed an LOI a few months later.

Paragon was able to create and address the information memorandum needs and to drive softly the negotiation, never prevailing over our desires.  Their motivation was the success of the transaction for both sides, not a quick and dirty deal good for the seller at first and then full of problems afterward.   After the closing, Paragon has continued to monitor our performance in order to make sure that our success story was not a vanishing falling star.

I suggest Paragon to serious entrepreneurs that want to find a long term strategic partner or definitive buyer and not regret the transaction terms and conditions after closing.
