With 40 practices and 49 locations, including over 75 affiliated dentists across California and Washington, Mosaic prides itself on its differentiated dentist-led and patient care-focused approach to practice management.
The Deal
Mosaic Dental Collective, LLC (“Mosaic”) announced a partnership with Audax Private Equity (“Audax”). Audax is an experienced investor in healthcare, having acquired over 30 platforms in the sector and more than 450 add-ons. The firm’s expertise, particularly in healthcare services, helped position Audax as a preferred partner as Mosaic looks to accelerate growth.
The Thesis
Founded by Dr. Jagdev Heir, Mosaic’s status as a differentiated partner of choice for dentists is driven by its dentist-led model. Mosaic’s unique doctor advisory board structure and C-suite-level dentist leadership, grants affiliated dentists levels of clinical autonomy, leadership, and professional development atypical of traditional DSOs. Audax, which made the investment through the firm’s lower-middle-market Origins strategy, will support Mosaic’s vision to develop the leading doctor-led DSO in the Western U.S. and help to accelerate Mosaic’s expansion through organic and inorganic growth.
