Prominent Latino-owned SF Bay Area Eating Disorder Clinic Purchased by National Corporation

Cielo House Inc., a comprehensive eating disorder treatment center and leading Latino-owned business with four locations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, has been acquired by Refresh Mental Health. Refresh Mental Health promotes clinical excellence and client access to high quality mental healthcare by partnering with leading practices with specialized programs focusing on in-network operations in approximately twenty states throughout the United States. Mertz Taggart, a Florida-based mergers and acquisitions firm, served as the exclusive advisor in this transaction, representing the seller.
Founded in 2010, Cielo House, Inc, started in a single house in Belmont, CA. Under the leadership of Dr. Matt Keck and Sofia Keck, it became the first eating disorder-focused PHP/IOP on the San Francisco Peninsula. Built on standards of world-class care, the couple have since expanded the company to four locations throughout the Bay Area, and now includes residential treatment.
Cielo House, Inc, will join Refresh Mental Health as one of its premier divisions. The company benefited from the entrepreneurial environment created and supported by the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative and the Latino Business Action Network. Sofia Keck, Co-Founder and former Chief Marketing Officer, is proud of the world class reputation the company developed in just one short decade.
